AC/DC

After two years of traveling with her band up and down the country, DJM found a slot for Jenny as a support for The Australian Band AC/DC.

This time, Messrs 'Gill and Wade' played in the support band, Geoff Gill on drums and Cliff Wade on bass. As they wrote all of the songs on the 'City Lights ' album, it seemed a good thing to do PR wise, plus Geoff could oversee matters better from onstage.

Jenny soon became good friends with the ' Lads from Oz ' and many a 'Good night in' was had after the Southern gigs, with the familiar sound of  (Make the tea Sheila! ) hollered into the kitchen...that and the take away fish and chips suppers eaten, together with the risqué stories and jokes in the rented three storey house in ' Sussex Gardens ' nr Paddington. AC/DC were remarkably ' normal ' (considering their wild reputation) preferring tea and cakes to getting drunk!

In particular ' John Payne ' Jenny's roadie at the time (and friend from School) became good friends of both Angus the guitarist and the singer ' Bon Scott '...although 'Bon didn't really  'Tea it up ' with the rest of the band much...like your regular 'Ozzie guy' Bon liked a good drink.

When the end of the tour came it was like saying goodbye to family.

As Jenny said some years later....' They were great guys, I still miss them '.
