Jenny's Staff Appraisal

 

 

Jenny Darren has been my vocal tutor for approx 2 years and in that time I have progressed hugely as a singer.  She is a very committed tutor who always has her students interests at heart - this is demonstrated by the developments that those who have been taught by her have made.  Personally, I have been singing for only 2 1/2 years and already I am singing jazz and very technically demanding songs such as Stay with me Baby by Lorraine Ellison, of which I performed in this year's Solo Voice Competition at the Colchester Institute and went on to win.  Jenny has always taken the time to go through songs most thoroughly with me in both production technique and overall performance aspects.  By her guidance and support I have also performed 'live' at many venues that would otherwise not be possible.  She has encouraged me to tackle any style, in any key and both my delivery of a song and general range has improved tenfold .  She is an exceptional teacher, a very talented singer and an inspiration.
